Judith Muck

Judith A. Muck ( Layko), 74, died August 5, 2015. Judith grew up in Kenmore and lived most of her adult life in Cuyahoga Falls. A graduate of Kenmore High School, she worked at the Summit County Board of Elections office and retired from the Industrial Commission of Ohio as a data processor. She enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader when her daughters were young and was a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Democratic Club. Judith was an avid book reader and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Ed and Judy were big fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers and were season ticket holders for many years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Edward, parents Frank and Julia Layko, brother in law John Schmidt. She is survived by loving daughters Debra (Kipton) Root, Dianne (Danny) Catalano, and Denise (Paul) Petroff; grandchildren Amy Root, Darren (fiance Kristen) Root, and James (Ashley) Catalano; Sisters Kathy Schmidt and Susan (Tom) Yablonski. Nieces and Nephews Laura Montini, Chris Schmidt, Tim Schmidt, Julianna Yablonski, Kate Pohl and Emily Yablonski.

The family would like to thank Sprenger Hospice, Grande Village Manor and especially the staff on the Memory Care unit for their loving care, compassion and support.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 10am, August 10 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1903 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223. Friends may call Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.
