Karol Neff

On Monday, June 27, 2022, Karol Neff, loving mother, family matriarch and friend passed away at the age of 77. 

Karol was born on March 1st, 1945 in Akron, Ohio to Paul and Mary Kimerer. Karol graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in education and pursued a career in social work with New York City Child Protective Services. After marrying Jack Neff, she moved to Penland School of Crafts in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina and raised two children, Johnny and Clair. 

Karol was an intellectual who loved to read and ask questions. She had a deep commitment to family and a feeling of connection to all those around her.  Karol could spend hours enjoying nature and loved walking through flowers. 

Karol was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her son, Johnny, her sister, Tina Schilling. and her mother and step father, Mary and Roy Hunt. She is survived by her family of Clair and Allen Allaman.
