Ken Fickey

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Ken Alan Fickey, 46, passed away February 24, 2016. He was born in Akron and was a life-long Northampton resident. Kenny graduated as a National Merit Finalist from Woodridge High School in 1987, going on to Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. Kenny worked with his brothers in the construction industry. He later went on to proudly earn his Law Degree from the University of Akron. Kenny then started his own private practice, helping countless people. He was a member of the Akron Bar Association and Star Lodge #187 FandAM.

Throughout his life, he cared for many people touching the lives of everyone he met. He was a friend to everyone, many of whom called him Uncle Kenny.
Kenny was a beautiful musician, singing in many choirs and around many camp fires. He introduced numerous generations to a wonderful place in West Virginia, referred to as "The Mountain". Kenny was an avid poker player, hunter, fisherman and fantasy football guru. He was a proud elder of the Bailey Road Christian Church. Kenny was the baby brother of 6 loving siblings. Kenny was a beloved husband and dad who took great joy in caring for, loving and protecting his family. He was the rock of his family and friends and his happiness lit up their lives every day.

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Rosemary; sister, Lori; he is survived by his wife, Jenny; daughter, Jane Rosemary; son, Joshua; brothers, Jack (Judy), Ben (Denise), Brian (Karen), Karl (Pam); and sister, Jill (Bob) George; numerous nieces, nephews, Lab Tyson and too many friends to count who are all part of the family.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday, February 28, 2016 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 29 at the Bailey Road Christian Church, 3200 W Bailey Rd. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Pastor Timothy Brown officiating. Interment Northampton Cemetery.

In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Jane's 529 college fund. Checks may be made payable to "American College Fund" sent C/O the funeral home. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
