Kenneth Cleary

Akron - Kenneth L. Cleary, 88, went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2015. He was born in Barberton and resided in Akron area most of his life. He served his country in the U.S. Army going onto retire from Tecca Distributing Co. Kenneth was an avid golfer who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Long; he is survived by his wife Shirley of 68 years; sons, Ronson Earl (Marie) of Indiana and Kevin Lee (Jo Anna) of Akron; grandchildren, Brian (Laura) Cleary and Laura (Jason) Cotter; step-granddaughter, Meghan Romito; adopted granddaughter, Maryellen (Jamie) Stuber; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Dorothy); sisters, Marilyn (Vince) Bonner; brother-in-law, David Long.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday March 3rd, 2015 at Bethany United Church of Christ 1235 Broad Blvd. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Rev. Andrew Courtney will be officiating. Inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Bethany United Church of Christ. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
