CUYAHOGA FALLS - Kenneth Wayne Lyell, 93, passed away January 16, 2017 due to complications from diabetes.
He was born in Akron on December 19, 1923 and resided his entire life in Cuyahoga Falls, graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1942. Kenneth served his country in WWII in the Army Air Corp. He was a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Lodge #735 F.andA.M. for 51 years. He was also a member of American Legion Charles Faust Post 281. He was a sales rep for the Farm Bureau and Nationwide Insurance for over 30 years. He was also a sales rep on the Million Dollar Mile on Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls.
Preceded in death by his wife in 2014 of 70 years, Inez, he is survived by his children, Jerry (Lynn) of Silver Lake, Karen Johnson (Lewis) and Gary (Linda) of Cuyahoga Falls, Dennis (Kathy) of Bonita Springs, FL and Douglas (Darlene) of Cuyahoga Falls; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to express special thanks to the Staff of Gardens of Western Reserve and Hospice of Gardens of Western Reserve for the exceptional care given to our father.
A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Falls Firefighter and Community Society, Inc. PO Box 1032, Cuyahoga Falls OH 44223 or to donations.diabetes.org.
