CUYAHOGA FALLS -Spec. Kim Stephen Slayko, II U. S. Army, 33, died unexpectedly August 31, 2011. He was born in Ravenna and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls the past 18 years. He was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY and had served in Afghanistan.
Preceded by grandparents, Steve and Helen Ruminski and Delores and Frank Slayko, he is survived by his wife, Traci K.; step-children, Dominic and Arabella; mother, Vicky Lynn Gray of Cuyahoga Falls; father, Kim S. Slayko, Sr. (Karen) of Streetsboro; grandparents, Stanley and Vivian Yaronczyk of Nantyglo, PA, brother, Matthew Slayko of Cuyahoga Falls; nephew, Declan Gregory Slayko of Cuyahoga Falls; step-sisters, Jackie Ogden (Jay) and their daughter, Brynn of Streetsboro and Melissa George (Jim Derry) and their daughters, Kacie and Emily of Cuyahoga Falls and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. Family will greet friends from 2-4 pm. Sunday, September 4 at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls.
