Kitty Waybright

Kitty Waybright, 95, passed away on April, 7, 2024. She was born in Akron, OH and lived in Streetsboro and Elkins, WV. In Elkins she met the love of her life Stanley. While raising a family she became an accomplished watercolor artist. Her accomplishments include a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Whiskey Painters of America, American Watercolor Society, and the Ohio Watercolor Society. Kitty received numerous awards including 1991 Paul Remmey Memorial Award, 2002 Elizabeth Callan Award, 2003 Louis Kaep Award, and 2017 OWS Jim Brower Lifetime achievement award. In addition to art Kitty loved to work in the yard and enjoyed all of nature, especially the birds.

Kitty is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Stanley; son, David and brother Bill.

Left to cherish her memory, children, Dolly (Ross) Catanese, Nathan (Robin) Waybright; 7 granddaughters; 8 greatgrandchildren and many other family and friends.

In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to your favorite charity. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Burbank Park for their exceptional care. 

A visitation will be held at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, on April 15, 2024, from 10am to 11am. Following the visitation there will be a funeral service at 11am. Burial will be held at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
