STOW - LaVerna Jean Bee (Rilling) Shuman, 80, passed away quietly on March 6, 2005.
Jean was born in Stow on January 22, 1925, residing most of her life in Stow.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Jeannie Rilling of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter, Christina Rilling of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Elizabeth Allen, Nicholas and Emily Stoiber, Corey Rilling, Todd and Scott Hilditch.
She was a 1943 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and a member of O.E.S. Kent Chapter 53.
"Burn what is left of me, and scatter my ashes to the winds to help the flowers grow. If you must bury something, let it be my faults, my weaknesses and all my prejudice against my fellow man. Give my sins to the devil, give my soul to God."
Cremation has already taken place. We would like to thank the Hospice Care Center for the loving care they gave not only our mother and grandmother but all the family members during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, OH 44333.
