Lawrence "Larry" McCoy

CUYAHOGA FALLS – Lawrence “Larry” McCoy, 80, passed away October 6, 2022. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 48 years. Larry was a 1960 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School going on to serve his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Ohio Bell/AT&T after over 30 years of service. Larry was an avid golfer, fisherman and family man.  

Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ruth; wife, Linda Rose; infant son, Brian; He is survived by his children, Colleen (Tim) Jewell and Nick (Shana) McCoy; grandchildren, Hannah Carroll (Derek Brown), Aidan and Connor Jewell and Reese McCoy; siblings, Barbara (Tom) O’Dear, Linda (Gary) Cortesi, Patty (Alan) Brubaker, Tom (Annette) McCoy, Tim (Barb) McCoy, many nieces and nephews; and his lifelong best friend Tony Varrecchia.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Monday October 10, 2022 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, Oh 44221. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday October 11. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel 450 Dennison Ave. Akron, OH 44312. Interment will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
