Ledra K. Aspenwall

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Ledra Kathleen Pasco Aspenwall, 93, passed away peacefully January 17, 2024, under the warm and constant care of Sunrise Senior Living and Traditions Hospice Care. She was born December 21, 1930, in Pleasant Grove, Ohio, to Margery and Grover Pasco, joining her sisters Eileen and Esther.

She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, where she was involved in 4H. She attended Bowling Green State University and was an active member of Alpha Xi Delta.

Ledra married her high school sweetheart, John Aspenwall, in 1954 and moved to Akron.

Over the years, Ledra held administrative positions at Cadiz Savings & Loan, Hazel-Atlas, Chemstrand, Goodyear Aerospace, Woodridge Local Schools (her favorite) and High Street Christian Church.

She is remembered for her kindness, willingness to listen and amazing fruit pies.

Ledra was predeceased by her son, Doug in 2020. She is greatly missed by her husband John of 69 years, daughter Sheryl (Bob) Black, grandchildren Brian (Jennifer) Black, Amanda Black and Jared (Emily) Aspenwall, and great-grandchildren Adalyn Black and Jaxson Aspenwall.

Calling hours will be Sunday, January 21, 3-5 p.m. at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. Ledra will be buried at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
