CUYAHOGA FALLS - Lela passed away Sunday, April 12, 2009 due to a chronic illness. She was born October 24, 1916. Her husband of 37 years, attorney Elmer Fry, her daughter Joann Fry, her grandson Jason Fry, her sisters Dorothy Sanders and Vivian Dick, and her father and mother Harry and Garnett Clarke preceded her in death.
She leaves behind her sons Marvin Fry and Raymond Fry of Akron, James Fry and daughter-in-law Florence Fry of Gilbert, Arizona; daughter Janet Roller and son-in-law David Roller of Randolph, OH; granddaughter Karen Hamilton and husband Tom Hamilton of Stow, grandson David Fry and wife Penny Fry of Irvine, California, grandsons Jeremy Poling of Akron and Louie Fry of the Philippines; and granddaughter Margaret Walker of Randolph. She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, and Mia Hamilton of Stow, Daylen, Jordan, and Ashton Walker of Randolph, and Tyla Frank of Ravenna.
She was a loving wife of 37 years, a wonderful Christian mother of five children. She was also a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful church member, a charter member of the Stow Garden Club and a member of the Bar Association while her husband was alive.
The family would like to thank Briarwood Nursing Home in Stow and the VNS Hospice Care Center.
The Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday. Friends may call beginning at 1:00 pm Saturday. Final resting place Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown. Memorials may be made to Hospice of VNS 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333-6118.
