Leo Dunbar

Leo Joseph Dunbar, 71, beloved father, brother, uncle, and cousin, passed away suddenly on May 15, 2017.

Mr. Dunbar was born on February 24, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, and spent most of his life in northeast Ohio. He was a veteran of the US Army and long-time manager for the Kmart Corporation. After retiring, he relocated to Port Charlotte, Florida, where he enjoyed the sunshine, relaxing, and social activities with friends.

Mr. Dunbar was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Virginia Gorney (nee Robb), and his father, Frank William Dunbar, Sr. He is survived by daughters, Erin Lis (Tony) and Kristen Dunbar; grandson, Theodore Lis; brother, Frank Dunbar, Jr. (Cecilia); sister, Patricia Clark; nieces, Cecilia Dunbar and Krystal Mastro; nephew, Frank Dunbar III; and numerous cousins and friends.

A memorial service for close family and friends will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
