Leslie Stahlheber-Hunt, 73, passed away December 10, 2023. Born March 27, 1950, to Mary and George Butler, of Akron, Ohio. Due to their deaths, was adopted by Katherine and Charles Stahlheber, of Akron, OH.
Leslie graduated from St. Anthony’s High School in Long Beach, California, in 1967, and Grossmont College in 1970. Moved to Akron, OH in 1972. Worked for Mutual of New York Insurance Company for nearly twenty years.
Met David Hunt in 1976… but didn’t marry till 1988.
With her husband, David, founded and co-owned Hunt’s Bar and Grille, in Cuyahoga Falls from 1994 until David’s death in 2009. Leslie, the “Queen of Front Street” continued to run Hunt’s until her retirement in 2019. Survived by brother-in-law Richard (Kristin) Hunt of Portage Lakes, and several nieces and nephews, as well as special friends Sherry Berry-Voros, and Bob and Tara Gallagher. She will be missed by her patrons who were like family to her.
Resting in love and peace with David, in the Stahlheber family plot, Good Shepperd Cemetery, Huntington Beach, California.
David and Leslie attended many alumni events at Leslie’s alma mater, St. Anthony in Santa Monica. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to St. Anthony High School, 620 Olive Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90802, in memory and David and Leslie.
