CUYAHOGA FALLS -Leslie Leon "Lee" Hupp, STCS USN (Ret) (DOM) went home to rest on May 1, 2009. Lee was born in Lowell , OH on February 10, 1936, lettered in Basketball and Football at Perrysville High School in Perrysville , OH . Lee enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1954, served on Mine Sweepers and Destroyers as well as SONAR Instruction and Oceanographic Research with a tour in Korea and two tours in Viet Nam , retiring as a Senior Chief SONAR Technician. Lee pursued many interests after the Navy; his greatest was watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Lee was a lifetime member of the VFW Ralph Huff Post 1062 in Cuyahoga Falls .

Preceded in death by his father, Chester Earl; mother, Katherine Wilhelmina (Haas); brother, Daniel and daughter-in-law, Sherron "Fudgie", Lee is survived by his loving wife of over 48 years, Rosalee (McCabe); daughter, Debora Sellers of Crooksville, OH; son, David Hupp of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Bobbi Hupp (Christopher Wilds) of Marion, OH, Chrystal Doyle (Brian) of New Lexington, OH, Ashley Ellis of Crooksville, OH and Aaron Ellis of Crooksville, OH and great-granddaughters, Bethany Wilds and Isabella Doyle; sister Edith Flickinger (Tom) of Wooster, OH and brother, Chester Hupp (Terri) of Mimbres, NM.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 9:00 pm Monday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday in The Falls Creek Community Church, 149 Northmoreland Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. Friends may begin calling at church at 9:00 am Tuesday. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 15120 Collections Center Drive, Chicago, IL 60693 or Navy-Marine Corp Relief Society, 875 North Randolph St., Suite 225 Arlington, VA 22203.
