CUYAHOGA FALLS - Lillian (nee Pofahl) Hoffman passed away November 12th, 2010, five days short of her 99th birthday.
Born in Akron, Mrs. Hoffman was a lifelong resident of the area, living the last 15 years in Cuyahoga Falls. Lillian was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and married Harold D. Hoffman on June 24, 1931. She worked as a dental assistant for 40 years. She was Past President of Akron, Ohio and American Dental Assistants Association, a Director on the Certifying Board of the American Dental Assistants Association for two terms, and a member of Redeemer United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for 30 years, worked with the Feed My Sheep Program, and with her husband, ran the North Hill Youth Center.
She is survived by nieces and nephews Jackie Jarvis, Daniel (Judy) Graham, Claire (Joe) Goines, and Zetta (Jim) Ward; great nephews, Brian and Gary Jarvis, Mike (Sue) and Gregory (Amanda) Ward, and Kevin (Deidre) and John (Jennifer) Graham; and great great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call one hour prior to a 2:00 pm funeral Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., with Rev. Marvin Brown officiating. A Private committal service will be held at Mt. Peace Cemetery.
