Lillian Anne Wilkins, 79, passed away quietly with her daughters by her side on May 12, 2024. Lillian was born on July 19, 1944, in Carlton, MN to Frederick W. and Saimi E. O’Brien (nee Juutilainen). Her greatest joy was being a wonderful mom and grandma. She enjoyed working with her hands and particularly loved crocheting and ceramics. She was a creative seamstress and, through the years, enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren.
Lillian attended Kent State University and Marshall University Community College. She was secretary to the vice president of Huntington National Bank in Huntington, WV and later a legal secretary for the Phillips, Gardill, Kaiser and Altmeyer law firm in Wheeling, WV.
She is survived by her three daughters, Ingrid E. Davis (Scott), of Huntington, WV, Kirsten M. Sicheri of Morgantown, WV and Gretchen E. Mitchell (Chad) of Hagerstown, MD; two brothers, John F. O’Brien (Maria) of Akron, OH; and William H. O’Brien (Judy) of Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren, Leah K. Midcap (Eric), Jacob T. Mitchell (Irene), Lauren E. Davis, Benjamin P. Mitchell (Bailey), C. Scotty Davis (Danielle), and Samual P. Mitchell; and, one great grandchild, Lillian K. Midcap. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Thomas B. Wilkins, her parents, and siblings, Eileen R. O’Brien, James H. O’Brien (Chris), Frederick W. O’Brien, Jr. (Doris), Bernard K. O’Brien (Freda), and Joseph O’Brien.
Friends will be received on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 10 am until the memorial service at 12 pm at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street., Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Committal prayer and interment will be held immediately following the memorial service at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
