Loel Shook

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Loel G. Shook, 91, died August 24, 2009. Mr. Shook was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, where he resided his entire life and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1935. He had attended Kent State University and was a member of BPOE 1923. He had been owner operator of the City Club and the Carrousel Restaurants in Cuyahoga Falls and later had worked in sales.

Preceded in death by his brother, Charles Shook, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley; daughters and sons-in-law, Tamara and Michael Ahrens of Deltona, FL and Debra and Timothy McKee of Cuyahoga Falls; son, Loel Gregory Shook of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Christine (Dan) Cannon, Bradley Craver, Clare McKee and Kevin Shook and great-grandchildren, Haley and Clay Cannon.

The Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. Inurnment will take place in Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 190 South Maple Street, Akron, OH 44302.
