Lois Cameron

Lois Ann Cameron (Getz) passed away January 12, 2016 at the age of 75 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Lois was born in Fremont, OH and entered the United States Marine Corps after high school. She maintained that patriotic service through involvement with the Marine Corps League Chesty Puller Detachment, Woman Marines Association, Young Marines and American Legion Post 281. She volunteered many hours with these organizations serving as chaplain and military Honor Guard at may veterans' funerals.
Preceded in death by her son, Darren Getz in 1990, Lois is survived by her mother, Alfreda Bor of Fremont, OH; son, Dennis (Shannon) Getz of Stow; daughter, DeAnna Meyer of Canton; and son, Doug (Anna) Getz of Navarre. She also leaves to mourn her passing special friend, traveling companion, and fellow Marine, Dennis Antonino; special friend, Al Salmons; five grandsons, three great-granddaughters, two sisters and a brother.
There will be no calling hours. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be made at the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH at the convenience of the family. Memorials in her name can be made to the Cooper Cancer Center in Akron C/O the Summa Foundation 525 East Market St. Akron, OH, 44304.
