Louis A. Jordan, Jr. (Max Wheel), 63, lost his battle with COPD on March 8, 2018. Lou was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and lived most of his life in Akron. He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Jordan, his father, Louis Jordan, Sr., and brother-in-law, Paul Halter. Lou is survived by siblings Don Jordan, Anne (David) Base, Peggy Halter, and Bob Jacobs.
Lou was better known by a stage name derived from his band, Max Wheel and the Sheades. Music was a lifelong passion that he coupled with a unique lyrical sense. Despite setbacks from illness, Max worked tirelessly on his most recent album titled Grand Avenue. Besides his family, he leaves behind many friends and fans that will miss him terribly.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. Friends may call one hour before the services.
