Lucille Scott

CUYAHOGA FALLS-Lucille Scott, 85, passed away April 1, 2017.
Lucille was raised in Cuyahoga Falls and resided ins Silver Lake for 29 years before moving to Danbury Senior Living in Cuyahoga Falls. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and attended Kent State University. She was employed by B.F. Goodrich and worked on their company newspaper.
In 1953, Lucille married Duane Scott. They enjoyed 58 years of wedded bliss. Together Duane and Lucille raised three children, Teresa, Sandra and Christopher. Lucille enjoyed serving with the Civic Music Association, Dandelions Club, and Cuyahoga Falls Women's Club. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge, baking gingerbread boys with her five grandchildren and doting on her two great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the company of her beloved dog, Bella.
Lucille worshipped at Saint John's Episcopal Church in Cuyahoga Falls for 45 years, where she served on the vestry and was a member of Saint Monica's Guild. She also volunteered at "Soup's On."
She is preceded in death by her husband, Duane Neal Scott, her sister, Ruth Keller and her brother-in-law Donald Scott. Lucille is survived by her loving children, Teresa (Daniel) Lance of Cuyahoga Falls, Sandra (David) Dimengo of Green, and Christopher (Victoria ) Scott of Silver Lake; grandchildren, Brandon (Laura) Lance, Nathanial (Kristin) Lance, Jeffrey Stroup, Caitlin Stroup, Emily (Brandon) Goff; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Lance and Harrison Goff; sister, Eleanor Adzema of Cuyahoga Falls, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Diane Foglesong of Stow, sister-in-law, Carol Scott of Houston, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. Lucille was blessed with many close friendships, both old and new.
Lucille's family would like to thank the staff and residents of Danbury Senior Living for making Mom's final year so enjoyable. We would also like to thank the Palliative Care Unit at Summa Hospital for their wonderful care of our mother.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 5 from 4-7 p.m. at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 6 at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home. The Rev. Christopher "Zeke" Coughlin will be officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
