Luther Robert Payne

CUYAHOGA FALLS-Luther Robert Payne, 62, passed away September 1, 2023. He was born in Cuyahoga Falls and was a lifelong resident graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1980. Luther was active in the Boy Scouts earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, Currently working at Jo Ann Fabrics. Luther enjoyed hiking, fishing, gardening, and watching the Cleveland Indians. 

Preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Payne; he is survived by his wife, Carol (Swisher) Payne; mother, Mary Payne; siblings, Joe (Patty) Payne, Raymond Payne, Della (Frank) Sailer and Mary (Bob) Payne; aunt, Barbara (Steve) and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A committal service will be held at 10:45 AM on Tuesday September 12, 2023, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A Celebration of life will take place at noon after the services at The Cuyahoga Falls Women's Club 830 Munroe Falls Ave, Cuyahoga Falls OH, 44221. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to One of A Kind Pets, 1929 W Market St. Akron, OH 44313.
