Luther Smith

CUYAHOGA FALLS - "Come unto me all that are heavy laden and I will give you rest".
Luther "Harold" Smith, 74, passed away September 15, 2009. Mr. Smith was born in Boaz, AL and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls the past 43 years. He had been a certified welder for Michael Day Enterprises in Wadsworth and had served with the U. S. Army. An active member of Broadman Baptist Church, Mr. Smith had served as a Deacon and was also a member of the Alzheimer's Assoc.

Preceded in death by his brother, Horace Walter Smith, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol; children, Gary Dean Smith, Stacey Lee Pluck and Christina Lynne Sheaves (Rick) all of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Karissa Lee Pluck, Jacob Luther Hessert, Micah Ray Pluck and Nicholas Sheaves and brothers and sister, James Tilton Smith, Judith Paris and Kenneth Smith, all of Alabama.

The Family would like to express special thanks to the staffs at Bath Manor and New Horizons for their exceptional care.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 5:00 pm Saturday in Broadman Baptist Church, 350 E. Bath Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, Rev. Chris McCombs officiating. Inurnment Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Broadman Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Assoc., 1815 W. Market St., Suite 301, Akron, OH 44313-7067.
