Lynne McCormick

Lynne McCormick, age 65, passed away suddenly November, 23^rd, 2022.

Lynne was a life-long resident of the Akron area, growing up in Cuyahoga Falls and West Akron. She attended Essex Grade School, Litchfield Junior High School, and Firestone High School where she played both clarinet and trumpet in the marching and concert bands. In addition to her musical talent she was a gifted artist.

In 1987, Lynne purchased Smith Sign Company and continued as sole proprietor until her passing. As such, she produced thousands of pieces over the years that adorn commercial and residential spaces throughout the area. She also produced all manner of campaign signs and was quick to help with free signage for any number of charity events and causes.

In her spare time Lynne was an avid golfer and life-long fan of her long-suffering Cleveland Browns. 

She is survived by her brother, Richard (Peggy) of Hilton Head, South Carolina, and sister Connie of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Cremation will take place and there are no services planned at this time.
