"Together Again"
Margaret V. Decker, 82, passed away August 6, 2007.
Mrs. Decker was born in Taylor County, West Virginia and had resided most of her life in Akron, Ohio. She worked as "Rosie the Riveter" at Firestone during WWII and then as a waitress at The Glenn's in Cuyahoga Falls. She worked for the Linus Program providing blankets for children, was one of the first recipients of the Leona W. Farris Caring Award from the City of Akron in 2003 and was active volunteering in the building where she lived.
Preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Donald, she is survived by her daughter, Donna Lee (John) Carroll of Portage Lakes and son, Charles (Georgia) Decker of California, granddaughters, Michelle (Dan) Cavanaugh and Joy (Steve) Vale, great-grandchildren, Cory, Mitch, Brittani, Katie, Ashleigh, and Sam and her "Angel Cat", Missy Ann.
Cremation has taken place. Final resting place will be next to Donald in Rose Hill Burial Park.
