STOW - Marilyn J. Fragola, (nee LaCasella) 80, passed away August 30, 2007. Mrs. Fragola was born in Akron and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1946 and had resided in Stow the past 37 years. A loving wife and mother to her family, she was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where she sang in the choir, a member of the Akron Women's City Club, President of Catholic Careers, was a member of the Cassanese Auxiliary, was involved for 35 years with Children's Hospital's Night at the Races and had just started taking cello lessons which she greatly enjoyed.
Preceded in death by her parents, John and Jenny LaCasella, she is survived by her husband of 57 years, Nunzie; sons, John of Lake Tahoe, NV and James of Stow; granddaughter, Jenna Lynn; brother, Michael (Donna) LaCasella of Cuyahoga Falls; brother-in-law Albert (Gilda) Fragola of Cuyahoga Falls; sister-in-law, Rosemarie (Frank) Phillips of Michigan; many nieces and nephews; 6 god-children and very good friend Flo Woomer.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. TUESDAY at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Final resting place Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorials to either St. Anthony's Church, 83 Mosser Pl, Akron, OH 44310 or Immaculate Heart of Mary in her memory.
