Marilyn Sue Studt, 89 of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on December 6, 2022. Marilyn was born on January 29, 1933, in Coshocton, Ohio, daughter of the late Kenneth Fortune and Ruby (Pew) Carter.
She graduated from North High School and upon graduation was hired by Firestone as a secretary. After leaving Firestone to have children she later began working for American Greetings, stocking local stores with greeting cards and merchandise. During this time, she also worked as a lunchroom monitor at Lincoln Elementary School for many years. She was active with Wahoo Square Dancers and the First United Methodist Church of Akron.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Studt.
She is survived by her children, Doug (Tammy) Studt of Stow, and David Studt of Akron, and grandsons, Caleb and Christian.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers, nurses, and staff of the Community Caregivers of Cuyahoga Falls and Maplewood of Cuyahoga Falls for the many years of compassionate care and friendship.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. On Monday, December 12 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home there will be a Funeral Service, officiated by Rev Doug Denton. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 70 W Streetsboro St, Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
