CUYAHOGA FALLS - Marilyn Anne Ward (nee May) 82, passed away February 1, 2009. Mrs. Ward was born in Akron, raised on North Hill a graduate of North High School and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for over 50 years. She was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church where she was involved in many activities including a longtime Altar Guild Member and chalice bearer. She was proud of her Irish heritage and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Martin Ward; sisters, Nora (Don) Acker, Mary (Joe) Hutchison, Patricia Holland and Cathy Spears; brothers, James May and Robert May; she is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Paul Mallott of Hudson and Patricia and Stephen Scruta of Mason, OH; son and daughter-in-law, Charles M. and Eva Ward, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren, Andrew (Blair) Mallott, Patrick (fianc?e Anita) Mallott, Kathleen (Jim) Huxtable, Daniel Mallott, Molly Scruta, Matthew Scruta and Timothy Scruta; great-granddaughter, Peyton Huxtable; brother-in-law, Charlie Holland and many nieces and nephews.
The Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Monday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday in St. John's Episcopal Church, 2220 2nd St. Cuyahoga Falls, Oh 44221, The Rev. Deborah Rankin officiating. Interment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to her church in her memory.
