Mark James Gorbach

Mark James Gorbach, age 54, passed away on September 4, 2024. He was born on July 9, 1970, and was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Mark graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1989 and attended Kent State University.

Mark was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Nelson and Clare Gorbach. He is survived by his brothers, Timothy Gorbach (Pamela) and Alan Gorbach (Brooke); his nieces and nephews, Abigail (Mel) Castro, Meghan Gorbach, Connor Gorbach, and Liam Gorbach; his aunt, Marnelle Lucas; and his cousins, Ann Cronin (Alfred), Margaret Lucas (Scott Seppi), George Lucas, John Lucas (Tonya), and David Lucas (Fabienne). Mark was a cherished family member who will be deeply missed.

Mark worked at Falls Catholic Credit Union for 22 years, where he was a valued employee and a friend to many. His commitment to helping and educating customers on their financial journeys left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with. He took to heart the mission of the credit union.

Mark will be remembered for his kind heart, dedication to others, and the friendships he built throughout his life. He was caring and selfless and enjoyed offering his time and energy whenever a need arose. Cooking was a passion of his and he would often provide unannounced home cooked meals and desserts for many of his friends.

In lieu of flowers, please remember that in the end, it’s not the hours we work but the moments we share with friends and family that define the richness of our lives. Make time for those close to you.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, beginning at 4:00 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 PM.
