Martha Vanscoy

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Martha Vanscoy, 80, passed away on July 4, 2023. She was born to the late Harry Jackson and Martha Rae Meader on May 14, 1943, in Elkins, WV. She was a graduate of University High School in Morgantown, WV. Martha worked as a teacher’s assistant at Weaver School and Workshop with 30 years of service. Martha cared for those with special needs and was an advocate for the Special Olympics. She loved to be around her family and especially her grandchildren. Martha made friends everywhere she went.   

She will be missed by her husband of sixty years, Ed Vanscoy; children, Rusty, Karol (Rob), Robert (Kelly), John, Patrick; grandchildren, Josh, Alex, Joe, Jim, Katie, Max, Cassidy, Kacy, Andy; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Tom, John, Kathe, Vincent and many other family and friends.

Cremation will take place and there are no services at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home.
