Martha Walker

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Martha S. Walker, 98, passed away August 19, 2007. Mrs. Walker was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1915. In the course of her working life, she worked as a legal secretary for several law firms for many years, retiring from Schneiderman Law Firm and had previously worked for The Falls News. She was a member of the Strollers at Quirk Center. Since 1915, she was an active member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ since 1915 and was their oldest member.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; daughter, Deborah Walker; grandson, Robert Pierson and brothers and sisters, Henry, Andy, Paul and Frank Sauter, Emma Hausch, Dorothy Spitzer and Fredrick Spaethe. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy Ann and Richard Pasher of Akron, Joyce and Jon Loffman of Scottsdale, AZ and Janice and John Pierson of Akron; grandchildren Gregory Walker Pasher (Christine), Mark Andrew Pasher (James Hekman), Sarah Anne Loffman (fianc?e Christopher Brooks, J. Christopher Pierson, Joseph Spaethe Pierson and Andrew Stuart Pierson; several nieces and nephews including nieces Debbie Howdyshell (Larry) and family, Diane Spaethe Thilmony (Joel) and children and Pauline Leicht and family and nephew, David Spitzer (Jane) and family and special neighbors, Bob and Ruth Borway and Kenny King.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday in Pilgrim United Church of Christ, Rev. Kirk Bruce officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
