Mary Currier

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Mary Alice Currier, 82, peacefully left this Earth and entered Heaven on March 22, 2016. She was born in Akron and resided in Cuyahoga Falls. Mary loved Christ and was always devoted in service to her church, Tallmadge Lutheran. She enjoyed raising her family, traveling with her husband, reading the Bible, watching the Indians, and Jeopardy, but most of all she loved serving and helping others.

Preceded in death by her husband, James; siblings, Rose Brunson, Eva Bell, Margaret Gearheart, Katherine Morisak, Dorothy Kozy, Elizabeth Smith, Martin Detzel, George Detzel, John Detzel and Paul Detzel; and grandson, Jimmy; she is survived by her children, Jim (Barb), Mike, Chuck (Roseann), Eva (Kelly), Maria (Vince); 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Nina McBride; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call one hour prior to an 11 AM Memorial Service on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at the Tallmadge Lutheran Church 759 East Ave. Tallmadge, OH, 44278. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the church. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
