CUYAHOGA FALLS - Mary Marquart Frazer, 90, died peacefully in her home on May 11, 2009. She grew up in St. Clairsville, OH where she graduated from high school in 1936 and then attended Ohio Wesleyan University. In 1944 she married Edward John Marquart who worked for Ohio Edison. They moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 1950 where they raised 3 children. They were both active in the First United Methodist Church where they sang in the choir for many years. Mary was also active in the Cuyahoga Falls Women's Club. Edward died in 1967. At that time she began working as attendance secretary at Woodridge High School, a position she held until 1996. In 1977 she married Willard (Bill) Frazer of Frazer Landscaping. Bill died in 1993. For the last 20 years she attended Celebration Church in Akron. She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers and a sister leaving her the last of her generation.
She is survived by her three children; Diane Marquart Fisher of East Granby, CT, Deborah Marquart Jackson of Cincinnati, OH and Edward J. Marquart III of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Michelle Jackson Mastin of San Carlos, CA, John Edward Marquart of Memphis, TN, Terry Jackson of Chicago, IL, and Colleen Marquart of Shelbyville, TN.
The family would like to thank those who visited and lovingly cared for her during the last years of her life. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
