CUYAHOGA FALLS - Mary Elizabeth Lohman, 94, passed away January 23, 2010.
Mrs. Lohman was born in Cambridge, Ohio where her family owned and operated the Daily Jeffersonian for three generations. She had resided for many years in Cuyahoga Falls before moving to Kent in 1986. She was proud to be a Dennison University Alumnus where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Women's Club and volunteered at Shannon Rogers Fashion Museum at Kent Sate University.
Preceded in death by her husband Dr. Joseph E. Lohman in 2000; brothers, Henry, William and Robert Amos, she is survived by her sons, Dr. Robert A (Cynthia) Lohman of Kent and Dr. Lawrence E. (Mary) Lohman of Hudson; grandchildren, Lawrence (Heather), John (Beth), Molly, Joseph and Jack; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Tracey and Joseph and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be arranged at a later date. A Private Committal Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Final Resting Place will be Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Church of Christ-Kent, 1400 E.
