CUYAHOGA FALLS -Mary E. Lyon, 90, died June 27, 2005. Mrs. Lyon was born in Dayton and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 63 years, moving here from Stow. She retired in 1976 as an elementary school teacher for the Stow Public Schools with 27 years service and was a member of the Northminster Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Friendship Group. She was a member of Falls Chapter 245 O.E.S., Cuyahoga Falls AARP, Falls Senior Travel Club and the Cuyahoga Falls Sorosis Club. She had taken reservations for the XYZ for the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul and son-in-law, Paul Tussing and is survived by her daughter, Janet Tussing of Cuyahoga Falls; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Mary Jean Lyon of Akron; grandchildren, Elizabeth (James Michael) Yates of Akron and Jean (Aaron) Brown of Akron and great-grandchildren, Raymond, Aaron Jr. and Alexis.
The Family would like to express special thanks to the staff of the Hospice Care Center for their exceptional care and concern.
The Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, Rev. David Herron officiating.
