CUYAHOGA FALLS -Mary Virginia Sarrocco Malorni, born February 28, 1923, passed away at home surrounded by her family on October 27, 2013, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls and a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Anthony Malorni; parents Andrew and Clotilde Sarrocco, and siblings Esther Morrison and Herman Sarrocco. Surviving family members include daughter, Linda Richardson (Terry) of Fairview, Texas; son, Jim Malorni of Cuyahoga Falls; cherished grandchildren, Shaun Richardson (Stephanie) of Greensboro, NC, Anthony Malorni (DeAnna) of Aurora, OH, Matthew Malorni of Raleigh, NC; step-granddaughter, Teryn (Ryan) Todd of McKinney, TX; great-grandchildren Andrea and Lucy Richardson, Dominic Malorni, Xander and Brooklynn; Taylor, Jake, Tyson and Zach Todd; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Duane Platt of Tallmadge and sisters-in-law Theresa Prinzo, Jean Brown, Kay Malorni, all of Cuyahoga Falls; Dolores Sarrocco of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Cindy Friddle and Mary Jo Graves.

Mary graduated Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1942; during her lifetime, she was employed in the offices of Kent Machine and Lawson's and also volunteered as a "Gray Lady" at St. Thomas Hospital. Mary was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all.

The family extends sincere appreciation for the loving care and attention provided to Mary by her Summa Hospice Team, Rosemary Tenison, Angela VanMeter, Vickie Hoffman, Reverend Mike Shaub, and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Eucharistic Minister, Nathaniel Clark.

Visitation will be 5-8 pm Monday October 28, 2013 at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Father Jared Orndorf, will be held at 10 am on Tuesday October 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1761 Second St., Cuyahoga Falls. Memorial donations may be made in Mary's name to Hospice of Summa, 444 North Main St., Akron, OH 44398. Interment will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls.
