Mary A. McCurdy
CUYAHOGA FALLS -Mary A. McCurdy, 85, passed away March 14, 2008. Mrs. McCurdy was born in Akron, had resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of her life and had lived in Silver Lake for 30 years. She had worked in the personnel department for Ohio Bell and was a 50 year member of the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls where she had sang in the choir. She had also sang with Master Works Choral with the Summit Choral Society.
Mary was a very caring person and deeply loved God and her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester and sister, Bettie Boltz and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Lee and Monika McCurdy of Rogers, AR; daughter, Sandra Parker of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Samuel (Shelley) Parker and Caleb Parker and great-grandchildren, Josiah, Noah and Gideon Parker.
The Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday in The First United Methodist Church 245 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Rev. Marvin Brown officiating. A private committal service will be conducted in Stow Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her Church or the Bethel Foundation, 385 Smith Dr., Tallmadge, OH 44278.
