Mary Beth Milford

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Mary Beth Milford, 92, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 18 with her loving family by her side.

Mary Beth was born on July 31, 1931 in Maunie, Illinois to the late Laverne and Lucy (Clark) Brown. She attended and was a 1949 graduate of Belleville Township High School. She met the love of her life, Roger Milford, and the two were married November 4, 1949 at Scott AF Base in Illinois. They moved to Akron for a brief time, settling in Cuyahoga Falls. The two spent 69 years together until Rogers passing in 2018.

Mary Beth was a homemaker, and loved caring for her family. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, and family history. She wrote a book called “The Buckeye Tree” about her family. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls.

Mary Beth is survived by her daughters Nancy (Ted Bronko) Milford, and Meg (David) Swicegood; grandchildren, Emily and Tessa (Cody); great-grandchildren, Noah, Vincent and Maverick.

Mary Beth is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger; her parents; sister, Martha; and brothers, David, Dennis, and Dan.

Mary Beth will be interred at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with her husband, Thursday, October 26 at 1:45 pm. This will be open to family and friends.

Calling hours to honor Mary Beth will be held Thursday, October 26, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Friday October 27, at 12:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, 44221.
