Cuyahoga Falls- Mary M. Towler, 93 passed away December 15, 2009. Mrs. Towler was born in Cuyahoga Falls and resided there most of her life. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and then attended Kent State University graduating with a B.A. degree. Mary taught school and then worked as an Accountant for Ohio Edison retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Leaf and Blossom garden club, the Genealogical Society, the Northampton Historical Society, volunteered at Green Cross and enjoyed bowling in her league. She was also a member of the Grandview United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband William Towler, parents Roy and Amelia Dyer and her sister Ruth E. Dyer. She is survived by her son James (Linda) Turner of Manchester; grandchildren Kimberly Turner of Rittman, Stacy (Brad) McClain of Canton, sister Martha Graham of Wentzville, MO and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls where friends may call for one hour prior to the service, Rev. James McKenzie officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery immediately following the service.
