CUYAHOGA FALLS - Maxine June Politz (Zimmerman) peacefully passed away at home on July 31, 2015. She was born on August 22, 1921 to Herman Zimmerman and Susan Blocker.
While attending South High School, she met, and deeply-fell in love with Michael Politz. They were a "Magical Couple" married for 74 years, and lovingly-raised four daughters.
Maxine was preceded in death by husband, Michael; daughters, Patricia Mae Kraft and Susan Marlene Politz; and her life-long best friend, Lois Allphin. She is survived by daughters, Pamela Gay Politz-Reno (Clay), Michele June Pyott (Dave); grandchildren, Steven Michael Pyott (Summer), Nicole June Pyott, Michael, Shawn and Eric Kraft. She also leaves brother-in-law, Frank Politz (Mary) and their children, Frank, Teresa and Michael.
The family would like to express their thanks to daughter, Pamela, for the ultimate care given to Maxine. We also send appreciation to the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice and mom's nurse, Nicole Fedor.
Mom, we cannot thank you enough for devoting, so deeply, every day of your life to your family. We hope that we have made you and Dad as proud of us as we are of the two of you. You and Dad will forever be deep within our hearts.
Cremation has taken place. Friends may call from 1 to 3 prior to a 3:00 pm Memorial Service on Saturday, August 15th in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Chaplain Bill Eshelman will be officiating. The family would appreciate memorials be made to the Greater-Akron Humane Society, 7996 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH 44087 in Maxine June Politz's name.
