CUYAHOGA FALLS -Michael Fiordi, 89, died May 21, 2007. Mr. Fiordi was born in Cuyahoga Falls and was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls. He was a Veteran of WWII having served with the U. S. Army and retired from B. F. Goodrich after 37 years of service. He was a founding member of the Italian-American Club.
Preceded in death by his wife, Georgia T. and daughter, Ruth Zimmerman, he is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Patricia and Richard Johnson of Akron and June Bordenkircher of FL; grandchildren, Jamie (James) Luli, Jeri Sampson, Jodie (Joe) Grescovich, Johnna (Ryan) Williams, James R. (Heather) Kerns, David (Dawn) Bordenkircher, Kathy (Duane) Maravolo, James Bordenkircher and Jackie Ray (Louis) Ule and many, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Tuesday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Wednesday. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. A military service will be conducted by American Legion Charles Faust Post 281. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333-6118.
