Michael Zemelka

STOW - Michael Zemelka, 73, passed away November 19, 2016 watching The Ohio State game surrounded by his family.

Michael was born in Bellaire, Ohio October 14, 1943 to Henry and Marie Zemelka. Mike served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for various newspapers as a sports writer including the Dix Newspapers.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne; sister, Margie Dimengo. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Tamara; son, Chas (Colleen); daughters, Misty (Rich) Barone and Mindy (David) Hoffman; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandson; brother, Jerry (Bernice) Zemelka; sister-in-law, Sandy and many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Western Reserve Hospital and Summa Hospice Care.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls where friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad St, Canfield, OH 44406.
