CUYAHOGA FALLS - Millicent W. Johnston, 70, passed away March 16, 2011 due to complications of Huntington's Disease..

Born in New York , NY , she was raised in Garden City, Long Island . Millie was a 1963 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and earned a Master's Degree in Education from George Washington University in 1972. She was an English teacher in Long Island and Baltimore County . Millie was a member of Pi Phi Sorority, and a member of Grandview United Methodist Church and was an avid runner, competing in several marathons.

She is survived by her husband Wesley G. Jr.; sons Wesley Alton (Alison) of Cuyahoga Falls , Walt ( Nancy ) of Lake Forest , IL , and Jeff (Chris Firestone) of Bay Village , OH ; 10 grandchildren; brother Dr. Carl Wille of Boynton Beach , FL ; and uncle Bill Berghorn of Smithtown, Long Island .

The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff of Maison Aine for their outstanding care, understanding, and love of Millicent over the past years and to Hospice of Summa for their wonderful counsel during these difficult times. A Memorial Service will be held at the Grandview United Methodist Church , 2315 Phelps Ave. , Cuyahoga Falls , on Sunday March 20th at 2 pm, Rev. James McKenzie officiating. A private committal service will be held in Poland Cemetery , Poland , OH at the convenience of the family. Should you desire, memorials may be made in her memory to HDSA, Northeast Ohio Chapter, 10176 Luman Lane , Twinsburg , OH 44087 .
