Miriam Willis

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Miriam Jean Willis, 84, passed away March 2, 2008. Mrs. Willis was born in Cuyahoga Falls where she had resided her entire life. She had worked as an administrative secretary to the Assistant Superintendent for the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education for 31 years, had previously worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber for 10 years and was a member of the First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls. She was also a member of the National Assoc. of Education Personnel, Educational Office Personnel of Ohio, the Cuyahoga Falls High School Alumni Assoc., Order of Amaranth Manchester Court 37 and Huse Rebecca Lodge 184.

Preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Willis and sister, Genevieve Anderson, she is survived her sister, Mabel I. Patterson; niece, Becky (Mark) Calabrese; nephews, Stephen Anderson, Rev. Mark (Kris) Anderson, Paul (Debbie) Patterson and Rev. Dr. Ronald (Charnley) Patterson; 6 great-nephews; 3 great-nieces and 1 great-great-nephew.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 7:00 pm Thursday, March 6, Rev. Gail Lindsey officiating. A private committal service will take place on Friday in Rose Hill Burial Park.
