Monica Phillips

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Monica (Carden) Phillips, 50, passed away May 20, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer that followed surviving a double lung transplant in 2010. She was born in Akron and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 12 years. Monica graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1984. She enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, traveling, and shopping. Monica loved spending times with friends and family, especially her daughter, Jamie and granddaughter, Joscalynn.

She is survived by her husband, Michael of 14 years; daughter, Jamie Raymond; granddaughter, Joscalynn; parents, Joseph and Linda Carden; sister, Michele Carden; nieces, Lauren Carden and Meghan Haggard; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

Memorial calling will be held from 5-8 PM on Tuesday May 24, 2016 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221, where a memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday May 25.
