CUYAHOGA FALLS - Myrtle Glanville died on June 17, 2010 in Cuyahoga Falls. She was born on December 15, 1916 in New London, Ohio the eldest daughter of Claude and Bertha King Bracy. She was a graduate of New London High School and subsequently the Ohio State University in 1938, the same year she married Dr. Richard Glanville.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Dick, son Rick, granddaughter Becca, and best friend Miriam Middleton. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Drs. Charles and Irene Glanville and Drs. Philip and Holly Glanville and daughter-in-law the Rev. Polly Glanville; grandchildren Gayle, Dr. Jennifer (John) Lasker, Rich (Andrea), Charles (Karen), Justin (Dan McDonald) and five great-grandchildren in addition to her beloved sister Jane Kuhlen Wieder (Bill) and the Kuhlen family.
Myrtle was the Matriarch of the family in all of the best ways. "Family first" was her credo. Her memberships past and present included: Witan, Silver Lake Country Club, Tuesday Musicals, Pilgrim United Church of Christ, The Ohio State Alumni Association and PEO. She enjoyed gardening, the Buckeyes on TV, bridge, politics, Golden Retrievers, Elderhostel and international travel. "There will never be another Myrtle."
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 27 in The Pilgrim United Church of Christ, Rev. Kirk Bruce officiating.
