Nancy Chase

Wadsworth - Nancy L. Chase, 59, passed away after a battle with cancer on October 18, 2014. She was born in Akron and resided in Wadsworth for the past 25 years. She served in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant, going on to work as a medical assistant in Akron, OH. Nancy served as the Foster Coordinator for Golden Retrievers In Need (GRIN) and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, George of 37 years; children, Rebecca and Matthew; brothers, Jim (Shirley) and Doug Lonsbury; sister, Linda (Earnest) Pospisil.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM on Thursday October 23rd at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ 130 Broad Blvd. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Rev. Kirk Bruce will be officiating. Private inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to GRIN (www.grinrescue.org ) or Pilgrim UCC Church. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home & Crematory, 330-928-2147.
