Nancy Marzano

Nancy Marzano, 87, passed away April 6, 2009. Mrs. Marzano was born in Akron where she had resided her entire life. She graduated from the University of Akron with an Associates Degree in Business Management. She was a member of the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281 Aux. having served in various capacities including President for 3 years, was a 14th District Children's Chairman and a member of the 8 and 40. She was a member of the Board of MRDD, served on the Women's Board of ARC and was a member of the Firestone Retiree's Club.

Preceded in death by her husband, Mike; parents, Gaetano and Angiolino Buzzelli and sister, Mary Fodos, she is survived by her sons, Rocci (Carol) Marzano of N. Canton and Guy (Christine) Marzano of Minnetonka, MN; daughters, Nancy Ann Marzano of Tallmadge and Rose (George) DeBord of Cuyahoga Falls; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother, Palmer Buzzelli of Akron and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

The Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday at St. Martha's Church, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron, OH 44310. A private interment will take place on Monday in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to Hattie Larlham, 9772 Diagonal Rd., Mantua, OH 44255 or St. Martha's Church.
