Nancy Runkle

CUYAHOGA FALLS - I Nancy Lee Runkle passed away, Christmas, December 25, 2015, at age 80. Actually, I ran headlong in the direction I hoped was heaven.
Seriously, some years ago I acknowledged Jesus' loving sacrifice for me and have known him as my lord and Savior.
For the curious among you, I died of a cerebral hemorrhage, not Multiple Sclerosis. MS might have been a contributing factor, but actually I beat it years ago.

I was preceded in death by my parents, Frank Irvin and Alberta Lee (Abbett) Runkle; my brothers, Irvin and his wife Beverly Runkle and Robert Runkle; my nephew, Randall Scott Runkle; my aunt Edna Runkle; my aunt Vera Fisher; my aunt Mary and uncle Glenn Bruce; my cousin Ronnie Bruce.

I am survived by my brother, Gerald Runkle; my sister-in-law, Marilyn Runkle; several nieces and nephews; my cousins, Patty Lou (Dow) Roettger and Mary Bruce and their families.

I have been blessed over the years with many friends and acquaintances. To name a few who made my last few years, worth living - thank each of you and take a bow, you earned it - Annette, Dale, and Tammy, Jeff, John, Joleen, Judy, Julie, Kim, Lori and Joe, Nancy, Patty, Ron and Lucinda, Ruth, Sharon, Sheila, Tracy, Virginia and George; my pastor, Ross Slaughter; members of the United Presbyterian Church; and the Phoenix Sunday School Class.
My thanks to and continued prayers for the residents, the staff, and the visiting volunteers at Briarwood. You made life from August 2007 until now a real blast. Bingo! Bango!! Bongo!!!

Cremation has taken place, per my request. A memorial Service will be conducted, at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6 at the United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Drive, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where friends may call one hour prior to the time of service. Rev. Ross Slaughter officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to her Church, Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6155 Rockside Rd. Ste. 202, Independence, OH 44131 or The Briarwood 3700 Englewood Dr., Stow, Ohio 44224. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
