N. CANTON- Nancy Conroy Sterling, 69, passed away June 19th, 2010.
Born in Youngstown on September 13, 1940 to Frank & Mildred Conroy, Mrs. Sterling lived in North Canton since 1991, going there from Montgomery, Ohio. Nancy was Valedictorian of Liberty High School, Church Hill, Ohio in 1958 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent State in 1975. She retired from the United States Treasury Department in 2002. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls. Nancy was very much involved in genealogy research for her family and many others. She contacted people through out the United States, Ireland, and Great Britain with her research.
She is survived by her husband Dean; son Robin (Tammy) Ragsdale of New Philadelphia; daughter Susan (Mark) Manofsky of Akron; grandchildren Robyn (Robert) Landsdale, Rachel Ragsdale, Mark Turoso, Sean Cody, Lindsay (Chris) Augustyn, and Abra Manofsky.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Music Fund, 245 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
