CUYAHOGA FALLS - Nelson J. Riter, 80, passed away January 15, 2010.
Mr. Riter was born in Akron and had worked for Goodyear Aerospace for 39 years, retiring in 1986 with 39 years of service and served in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was a member of the Goodyear Car Club and had attended the Uniontown Chapel of Faith.
Preceded in death by his son John David Riter, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Josephine; children William (Christina) of West Virginia and Althea Jane Boley of West Virginia; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Ray (Ruth) Riter of Stow and sister Althea Myers of Florida; nephew, David (Jeanette) Dempster of Hartville and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Jack A. Coontz officiating. Interment will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad St., Canfield, Ohio 44406 in his memory.
